As 2012 draws to an end, the IMS team are taking time to look back at the various achievements of the year. Here is just a sample of the highlights:
Engagement
IMS has continued to actively and effectively engage stakeholders for many clients in a variety of events and online platforms. The IMS online engagement toolkit, StakeholderTALK™, has been used extensively throughout the year, delivering projects for new and existing clients including British Land and the Green Construction Board. In other work, IMS has delivered successful engagement in terms of face to face events, including a water summit for Lambeth Borough Council and a one-day corporate social responsibility (CSR) workshop for EEF.
Strategy
A number of clients have continued to receive strategic advice and guidance in on-going work throughout the course of 2012. IMS has worked alongside Saint-Gobain and Morgan Sindall Group to help implement and communicate their sustainability roadmaps across both multinational’s many divisions. Continuing from previous years, IMS has helped several companies with their Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) submissions. This led to the great achievements of Morgan Sindall Group becoming the highest scoring construction company in the UK, and Skanska becoming the highest scoring construction company in the CDP’s Nordic submission.
Communication
IMS has produced a number of non-financial reports for clients in 2012, including a Sustainability Review for Saint-Gobain and Skanska, Bouygues UK’s first Responsibility Report and Morgan Sindall Group's Sustainability Report. The team has also helped Jewson with its Sustainable Development Review, and continued to provide an on-going communicative service for WBCSD CSI, Skanska and Morgan Sindall Group.
Other Highlights
So what about the non-client facing triumphs? This year has seen the continued success of the IMS Sustainable Business Breakfast, with a range of high profile speakers providing an invaluable insight into the sustainable aspects of their businesses. The team were immeasurably proud to be shortlisted for the 2012 Sustainability Leaders Awards, highlighting the year’s reporting accomplishments. Other snippets from the year include the participation in this year’s Give & Gain Day, a strategic office move to the Royal London Buildings and the publication of three white papers.
2012 has been an incredibly busy, yet unquestionably exciting year for IMS Consulting. With multiple achievements and contract wins, the IMS team can enter the Christmas break entirely satisfied with the year’s work, and look forward to what 2013 will bring.
